Die empfindliche Huxelrebe – eine selten angebaute Weißwein-Neuzüchtung aus der Landesanstalt für Rebenzüchtung in Alzey – stellt sehr hohe Ansprüche an Standort, Klima und Pflege.
Die tiefgründigen Lößböden im “Dalsheimer Sauloch”, einer besonders warmen, geschützten Lage mit sehr fruchtbaren Böden in rheinhessischen Teil des Weinguts, sagen der Huxelrebe sehr zu.
