Questions About Wine
How and how long can I store wine and sparkling wine?
All kinds of wine and sparkling wine should be stored cool and dark.
Quality wines: 3–5 years
Quality wines with special distinction: 10 years or more
Sparkling wine: 3 Jahre
Juices, Versecco, Verjuice: please see best before date
Brandy, Liqueur, Vinegar: 10 years and more
Why do wines contain sulfites?
Sulfites stabilise flavour and colour of wines by binding oxygen. Many kinds of food contain sulfites by nature.
How are the wine bottles closed?
With the exceptions of mulled wine and nonalcoholic wines, all wines are closed with corks. They enable better maturing than screw-caps.
Modern corks preempt corky wines entirely.
For our top qualities we use premium natural corks. Nevertheless, in the rare case that such a wine tastes corky it will be compensated.
Questions about Shopping and Shipping
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, you can order exactly as many bottles as you wish. For shipping it makes sense to order full boxes of 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 or 15 bottles for better stability and less danger of breakage.
When and how will the wine be shipped?
Within Germany , your order is shipped within 3 working days by DPD, orders of 60 bottles or more by forwarder. You will be informed by email as soon as your order is on its way.
Delivery time ca. 1–2 days.
Example: If you order online on a Sunday, it will normally be shipped on Monday and arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Please note, that shipping times during harvest and before Easter and Christmas kann be delayed a few days.
Foreign delivery: via DPD or DHL, shipping time ca. 3–7 days.
What if my order doesn’t arrive or something is missing?
If your order doesn’t arrive within the normal shipping time, please inform us so we can look into it.
Occasionally glass breakage happens. In this case, the shipper repacks the unbroken bottles and delivers the parcel with a damage report. Please inform us so that we can take care of compensation.
How is my order packed?
For parcel service delivery we use especially robust boxes separating the bottles from each other to avoid breakage.
For delivery via forwarder (60 bottle or more) the bottles are packed in boxes of 12 wrapped on a small wooden one-way-pallet.
Can I schedule my delivery?
Unfortunately, we cannot plan the delivery exactly to the day. Please let us know your wishes in the comments field. We will ship your parcel at the most suitable date.
Can my order be sent as a gift?
Yes, it can. Please write the delivery details into the comment field in the checkout (“send as a gift to: …”) or, as a registered customer, create a separate delivery address.
Can I return my order?
Yes, you can. As we are convinced of the quality of our wines, in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days, we offer you a voluntary return policy of 30 days from the date you receive the goods.
Within this period, you may return products purchased from us even if the statutory withdrawal period has already expired.
Your statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected. The conditions and legal consequences of the statutory right of withdrawal are governed solely by the applicable laws and our withdrawal information.
Conditions of the Voluntary Return Policy for Products from Weingut Fuchs
Bottles must be unopened, undamaged, and in perfect condition.
The return of opened bottles or packaging is excluded for reasons of health and hygiene protection, as well as due to possible quality changes.
The goods must be returned in break-resistant packaging.
Products that have been individually bottled or personalized for you are excluded from the voluntary return policy.
You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
When exercising the voluntary return policy, we will refund the purchase price—but not the shipping costs of the original delivery—after receiving the returned goods.
Your statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected by these provisions in all cases.
Is delivery outside of Germany possible?
Yes, it is. You can order directly for these destination countries:
Austria
Belgien
Denmark
France
Luxembourg
Netherlands
