Pinot gris is an internationally cultivated grape, a member of the burgundy grapes family. Its long history goes back to the Middle Ages. It needs warm locations to grow, its cultivation requirements are high.
Pinot gris is a late ripening grape variety. The berries show a remarkable greyish rose colour.
Fuchs Pinot gris is off-dry. Its powerful taste and the very decent touch of sweetness suit each other. The taste is long-lasting and reminds of pears and rockmelon. The wine has a smooth, ripe acidity, which makesit especially digestible.
This white wine is a delicious and universal companion to seafood and fish, poultry, rice and pasta dishes, and vegetarian food, highly recommended for wine lovers who like a not too dry wine.
